In Wikipedia’s “List of Mass Shootings in the United States in 2020,” the Racial Reckoning continues to rack up a big body count, with the number of killed or wounded in mass shootings (four or more victims) up 58% for June-October 2020 over 2019.
The good news is that the mass shooting mayhem in recent months hasn’t been quite as over the top as in June and July, the shootiest months of George Floyd mourning. But we still may have reached a New Normal considerably worse than the notoriously awful Old Normal.
