Monocultural Marines?

As Marine, [He served 1960-1963]I’m trying to imagine the reaction to an ad that said something like "Anglo/Celtic and male? Well the United States Marines is the ideal place for you, because we have a tradition of individualism, bravery and loyalty to the nation created by your ancestors".
The reaction? Probably they'd call on that Colorado lady Democrat who said "How dare you!" to State Representative Douglas Bruce, and have her say it again.
