Mrs. Alito’s Distaste For “Gay Pride” Vs. Black Students’ (And The NAACP’s) Hatred Of Confederate-Americans

Someone did the “secretly recording a conversation” trick on the wife of a Supreme Court Justice — Martha-Ann (Mrs. Samuel) Alito — and she’s alleged, by the New York Times, to have committed blasphemy by not wanting to look at a Pride flag — which is everywhere these days.

In a related note, a Virginia school district is being attacked by the Virginia NAACP on the basis that if black students are forced to look at the names of dead Confederates, they’ll be victims of what they also consider blasphemy:

The Virginia NAACP and five students are suing a school board that voted last month to restore the names of two schools previously named for Confederate leaders, saying the decision creates a discriminatory educational environment for Black students.

The federal complaint filed Tuesday says the reversal denies Black students an equal opportunity to education by forcing them to attend a school named after Confederate leaders.

The Confederate leaders were Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Turner Ashby:

The Shenandoah County School Board voted 5-1 last month to revert the name of Mountain View High to Stonewall Jackson High School. In addition, Honey Run Elementary School was renamed Ashby Lee Elementary School after Robert E. Lee and Turner Ashby.

If you haven’t heard of Turner Ashby, he was a Confederate cavalry leader — known as the “Black Knight of the Confederacy” — who died 162 years ago last week, falling in battle at the head of his troops about 20 miles from where the school that bears his name is located.

His death appears to have been heroic:

As Jackson’s army withdrew from the pressure of Maj. Gen. John C. Frémont’s superior forces, moving from Harrisonburg toward Port Republic, Ashby commanded the rear guard. On June 6, 1862, near Harrisonburg, the 1st New Jersey Cavalry attacked Ashby’s position at Good’s Farm. Although Ashby defeated the cavalry attack, the following infantry engagement resulted in his horse being shot, so Ashby charged ahead on foot.[13] After only a few steps, he was shot through the heart, killing him instantly.[14] … .His last words were “Charge, men! For God’s sake. Charge!” waving his sword, when a bullet pierced him in the breast and he fell dead.[15]

So Mrs. Alito doesn’t want to look at “Pride” flags, presumably because she’s a conservative Catholic and homosexual sodomy is against her religion. (So is “Pride,” of course, it’s one of the Seven Deadly Sins.) Also, the Gay Rights movement has a history of extreme anti-Catholicism.

Apparently, The New York Times thinks that’s bad, but as far as I know, and despite the gay marriage and right to commit sodomy decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court, her right to feel that way is protected by the First Amendment.

However, the black students feelings of racial hatred towards Confederate history and Confederate-Americans are, according to the Supreme Court in Brown Vs. Board, not protected by the Constitution at all — at least, not if you assume whites have the same rights under the Constitution as blacks.
