North Carolina’s Leftist governor, Roy Cooper, has a message for Tarheel victims of illegal-alien criminals: Drop dead. For the second time, Cooper vetoed a bill that required sheriffs to determine the legal status of suspected illegals and honor detainers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Republicans and Democrats disagreed on whether the bill would help or hurt public safety, and Democrats called it unconstitutional and racially discriminatory. https://t.co/j7uueaFfD2

This law is only about scoring political points and using fear to divide North Carolinians. As the state’s former top law enforcement officer, I know that current law already allows the state to incarcerate and prosecute dangerous criminals regardless of immigration status. This bill is unconstitutional and weakens law enforcement in North Carolina by mandating that sheriffs do the job of federal agents, using local resources that could hurt their ability to protect their counties.
NCFire — North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement — reports that police have charged 135 illegals with 465 child rapes or sexual assaults since January 1.
No sane or serious state or local politician can possibly oppose cooperating with ICE and honoring its detainers.
Treason Lobby torpedoes like Cooper know what they’re doing, and they’re doing it on purpose. They’re using illegal-alien criminals to demoralize the Historic American Nation into accepting its dispossession and replacement.
Nothing else explains Cooper’s veto. He vetoed a similar bill in 2019 [Cooper vetoes bill requiring sheriffs to honor ICE detainers, by Matthew Burns, WRAL.com, August 21, 2019].
Tarheel staters know who to blame when the state’s illegals, released despite detainers, rob, rape, and murder again and again.
