Following up on James Fulford’s blog that Al Sharpton is no one to throw stones at Don Imus regarding what is and is not "sensitive" I'll add that the same observation should be made of Jesse Jackson. In a lengthy interview on the Today Show, co-host Meredith Vieira asked Jackson what the difference was, sensitivity-wise, between Imus' comments about the Rutgers womens basketball team and his 1984 comment that New York is run by "Hymies" and is "Hymietown."
Jackson, completely tongue-tied, gave a lame non-response about abuse of federal airwaves, etc. But he was clearly caught with his pants down.
