That’s the lead item in the NYT’s indictment of Professor Wax: her statement of a fact that is scientifically indisputable.
Way back in his controlling decision in the 1978 Bakke case, Justice Lewis Powell declared that we should have affirmative action so that colleges can have better classroom discussions. Of course, affirmative action made classroom (and post-college, as well) discussions vastly worse by ruling out of discussion the single biggest social facts, such as that blacks average lower IQ and higher homicide rates.
