Over the years, I've been persuaded by Professor Richard Lynn’s notion that contrary to Hollywood’s "Dr. Evil" theme — where the super-bad are always super-brainy — the more frequent correlation is the other way around.
Which is not to say that I’m totally sold on William F. Buckley, Jr.’s quip that he'd rather be ruled by the first 400 names in the Boston phone book than the faculty of Harvard. Let’s say, the first 300 names in the Boston phone book, and 100 Harvard profs.
