Daniel Pipes' NY Sun column on the latest hijack plot asks if it’s "Time to Profile Airline Passengers?" It’s accompanied by this cartoon, which I thought I'd share with you.The politically correct TSA has been looking for any other way of figuring out who the next Arab terrorist is going to be, rather than by, for example, checking out the Arabs in the line.
They've tried a program called SPOT, (Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques, ) which one TSA idiot called "the antidote to racial profiling," which is supposed to find out who in line is nervous. It works — they've caught "passengers with forged visas, fake IDs, stolen airline tickets, and various forms of contraband," but no terrorists.
But the time for profiling was obviously September 11, 2001, when 19 Arabs boarded three separate planes. But it was illegal then, and it remains illegal now.
