Red Sox Apologize For "Slurs" Hurled By Fans

The Red Sox are apologizing because their fans at Fenway Park hurled some racial abuse at Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles.

According to The Boston Globe, quoting Jones, “A disrespectful person threw a bag of peanuts at me and I got called the ‘N’ word a handful of times.”

The Sox offered a lengthy apology and promise to "review" the matter, and Gov. Charlie Baker tweeted this nonsense: "This is not what Massachusetts & Boston are about."

Uh, yeah, it is.

Anyone remember Louise Hicks, the fiercest opponent of court-ordered busing in the country, and the war in Boston over desegregation?

And let us not forget this episode — fiction, of course, — from "Gone With The Wind," a reflection of Clyde Wilson’s description of "those people."

Bostonians and Bay Staters are no more enamored of blacks than whites in any city, as their living arrangements and, as shown above, public commentary well show.
