Sarah Palin And The Plaintiff Attorneys' Great Honey Rush

Sarah Palin has written about the malpractice litigation crisis on Facebook: No Health Care Reform Without Legal Reform.

She’s making the point that if medical care and health insurance costs a lot, the problem is not necessarily doctors but lawyers, the plaintiffs attorneys who launch frivolous lawsuits and the courts that play along.

Leslie Spencer and I wrote about this in Forbes twenty years ago: The Plaintiff Attorneys' Great Honey Rush, October 16, 1989, and Walter Olson’s Overlawyered.com covers it on a daily basis, but nothing has been done, partly because of the massive campaign contributions made by the (largely Democratic) plaintiff’s bar.
