Commonreader links to Steve Sailer’s new book (thank you!) and one of her commenters says My question is, will J.K. Rowling sue?
Answer: no, it can’t be done.
We’re not violating Ms. Rowling’s copyright by calling the book AMERICA’S HALF-BLOOD PRINCE | BARACK OBAMA’S STORY OF RACE AND INHERITANCE, because you can’t copyright titles, and the concept of a long-awaited unifying figure goes back to the Wars of the Roses and the union of the Lancasters and the Yorks.
If we’d called it Obama For Dummies,™ then we'd have been sued.
