Those Illegal Alien "DREAMers" — What Civic Treasures They Be!

Paul Nachman

08/13/2019

In Washington Watcher II’s current VDARE.com article about the border-busting machinations of Charles Koch and Koch’s associated enterprises, s/he writes:

Amnesty for so-called DREAMers, illegal aliens who came to the U.S. as minors, remains a major [Koch] legislative priority: “These are people who have already demonstrated their commitment and contribution to this country — and in 2019 our country can do the same for them,” read a January Koch network email [Koch Network to Push for Legal Status for Dreamers in 2019, by Philip Elliott, Time, January 2, 2019]

So these illegal alien "DREAMers" [snort!] "have already demonstrated their commitment and contribution to this country," have they?

That claim echoes President Obama’s lecture to us as he inflicted the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA] de facto amnesty of "young" [snort!, again] illegal aliens on us:

These are young people who study in our schools, they play in our neighborhoods, they’re friends with our kids, they pledge allegiance to our flag. They are Americans in their heart, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper.
[Remarks by the President on Immigration, The White House: Office of the Press Secretary, June 15, 2012]

So please examine the DACA-application paperwork (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Form I-821D [PDF download], which is solely in English). Space for “Contact Information, Certification, and Signature of the Interpreter” takes up about 10 percent of the form. Yep, interpreters — for all those “Americans in their minds," busily demonstrating "their commitment to this country."

Washington Watcher II is right: Koch doesn’t care about illegal aliens or, for that matter, immigrants. Instead, as usual with immigration peddlers for the last century and a half, it’s all about cheap labor — or else ethnic aggrandizement.
