The President-elect continues to impress with his cabinet choices and actions generally. Calling one of Europeâs top friends of law and borders with an invitation to visit is a very pleasant surprise.
As earlier noted hereabouts, Eastern Europeans are not impressed with the prospect of Muslim diversity, since tyrannical Ottoman rule extended into parts of their territory for hundreds of years. The Ottomans controlled part of medieval Hungary for over a century. Viktor Orban has been a fierce defender of Hungarian freedom against the current Islamic invasion disguised as a humanitarian ârefugeeâ flow.
Here are some recent remarks from PM Orban, voicing his concerns about protecting Hungarian law, culture and its people:
VIKTOR ORBAN: Hungary will do everything in its power to enable every migrant to return from Europe to his own country. And Hungary will do everything possible, to make sure that no one may enter and stay illegally on Hungarian territory, in violation of Hungarian laws.We want to be masters of the situation, and we want to be masters of our own destiny. We do not accept the diktat of Brussels, who want to tell me whom we have to live with, in our own country! This is unacceptable. This must be our decision!
âOn the issue of migrants, when someone makes a mistake, it cannot be corrected,â emphasized the Hungarian Prime Minister. In the countries where migrants arrive en masse, life will change. Maybe not in one day, but in a couple of years it will change. Our grandchildren will ask us: Why did we let our countries change? Why did we allow Europe to change?
Breitbart reported about Donald Trumpâs invitation:
Trump Invites Hungarian PM OrbĂĄn to Washington D.C., Breitbart.com, November 25, 2016U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump has invited Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor OrbĂĄn to visit him in Washington D.C.
The Prime Minister said that Mr. Trump then praised the Hungarian government and called the people of Hungary âbrave freedom fightersâ during a telephone conversation on Thursday night, Hungarian paper Magyar Hirlap reports.
Mr. OrbĂĄn also noted that Trump congratulated Hungary for its economic success in recent years saying that he has called the nationâs achievements over the past six years âoutstandingâ.
After being invited to Washington D.C., OrbĂĄn said: âI told him that I hadnât been there for a long time as I had been treated as a âblack sheepâ, to which he replied, laughing, âMe tooâ.â
On Mr. Trumpâs open attitudes toward Hungary, the prime minister said: âHe is much more interested in success, efficiency and results than in political theories,â adding: âThis is good for us, as the facts are with us. The economic cooperation has always been good, only the ideologies presented obstacles.â
One of the first European politicians to come out in support of Trump, the maverick Hungarian leader has been a fierce opponent of the migrant policies of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the European Unionâs plans to redistribute migrants across the political bloc.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, shortly after the Hungarian migrant referendum, spokesman for the Hungarian government ZoltĂĄn KovĂĄcs said the Obama administration had left the country feeling abandoned. âMy first-hand experience, the experience of the government, [is that] the U.S. has lost interest, and probably with it, knowledge about the region. Europe in general, but most certainly about Central Europe,â he said.
While Mr. OrbĂĄn had come out in support of Mr. Trump, KovĂĄcs was more cautious than to offer an official governmental endorsement, but did at the time note that the migrant policies of Trump and the Hungarian government aligned.
âIf itâs about migration, which seems to be the most acute challenge we face, itâs definitely true that Mr. Trump and the conservative philosophy on migration is a lot closer to us,â he noted.
Hungary, along with neighbours Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, constitute the Visegrad 4 group, who have been a major bloc in opposition of mass migration within the European Union. The V4 now look to the presidential elections in Austria for another potential ally in the anti-mass migration Freedom Party (FPĂ) candidate Norbert Hofer.
After meeting with Czech president MiloĹĄ Zeman, Hofer related his intentions for Austria to join the group as well.
Speaking to Breitbart London on the issue, spokesman KovĂĄcs said: âAustria has always rather belonged to Central Europe, not the Western part of Europe. With the facts and the consequences of what is happening on the southern and eastern borders of Europe now with migration, it would be an interesting turn and development if the Austrians realised that.â
