Donald Trump has announced what his administration is going to do about legal immigration; i. e. what he was elected to do. The left is going crazy, and our side is very, very happy. (One small caveat — a merit-based system tends to displace a better class of American, which is why zero immigration would be better, but merit-based is better than "totally useless".)

Herewith some Tweets on the subject:

I campaigned on creating a merit-based immigration system that protects U.S. workers & taxpayers. Watch: https://t.co/lv3ScSKnF6 #RAISEAct pic.twitter.com/zCFK5OfYnB

Stephen Miller puts forth the wonkish details:

Good. Always, always hit reporters as what they are — political activists using the tactic of "journalism" to achieve their ends. https://t.co/or4NQBAdmv

A subject I've been writing about for years:

FACT CHECK: True. Saccharine poems tacked onto public monuments are completely irrelevant to immigration law and policy-making. pic.twitter.com/rVmXsLxwRO

The Stupid Press is taken by surprise:

Anyone who covered the Senate in the last 5-6 years has emails from Stephen Miller that lay out exactly what he said today. pic.twitter.com/vzbvHfLFoa

Miller to CNN: Maybe it’s time we had compassion for American workers. https://t.co/ZTGMBjIWvq

And finally, Ann Coulter:

This press conference is the best moment of the Trump presidency since the inauguration.
