Twitter Censors Trump’s Covid Leadership On Twitter — Would They Have Fact-Checked FDR For Saying "The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself"?

So Trump wrote this:

Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!

Peter Brimelow retweeted it, with a link to my recent post about the actual flattening of the curve, especially seen in the logarithmic tables at Infection2020.com, in which I wrote, as Trump was going into the hospital he’s now out of: Very Few Deaths These Days From Covid, In Case You're Worried About Trump.

2/2 … as logscale chart reveals. But powerful people want the panic to continuehttps://t.co/3sIC8v0qTR

You may see Trump’s post in this embed, but on Twitter you see this message:

What that means is they want to call Trump a liar, but they can’t bring themselves to just delete a Tweet from the President of the United States. (They're saying that no recent flu has been as bad, but as John Derbyshire pointed out, the President is old enough to remember the 1957–58 flu pandemic, which was that bad. So is Michael Barone.)

They did this with an earlier Tweet, in which he had a clip from an MSM interview in which he said

"If you look at children, children are almost — and I would almost say definitely — but almost immune from this disease," Mr. Trump said.

The thing is, this is true. A total of 32 children between 5 and 14 have died in the US from Covid. That’s less than 1 in 6000 of the deaths nationwide. That’s the same as "almost immune."

It seems like, as with "Mexican rapists" and many other true statements that the MSM "fact checks," they've heard what he said, interpreted it to mean something totally different, and called it a lie.

Oh, and it’s obvious that when FDR said "The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself" in his 1933 inauguration he was wrong — the Depression would continue for years, and then there was that war — but what would Twitter have done with that President’s attempt to bring the nation out of the doldrums?

Twitter needs to be stopped.
