We've been seeing weird Main Stream Media stories (no photographs) that one of the flags flown at the Capitol protests which ended with patriots occupying the Congressional offices, in addition to the American and Confederate flags, was what they're calling the "VDARE.com flag." This is a part of the Ruling Class drive to smear the tens of thousands of mostly white protesters as "domestic terrorists" (and hence jailable), when what they actually were was Republicans. Not Conservatism Inc ™ Republicans, but the people who actually voted for Trump:
VDare/Lion Guards of Trump (2016)
This is the banner for an anti-immigration alt-right site founded by British-born columnist Peter Brimelow. Its lion motif is traced back to a quote from Benito Mussolini that Trump tweeted in 2016. It also has been used by the Lion Guard, a civilian group formed to protect Trump and his supporters.

Now, there isn’t really such a thing as a VDARE.com flag, as James Fulford explained, patiently, in 2019:
The Trump campaign has tweeted something with a red, white, and blue lion logo, and the mindreaders of the Left are convinced that this represents a secret signal.
That’s partly because we once tweeted something with a similar logo in 2016. We don’t really know who originated it.
The people convinced of this apparently include former fact-checking site Snopes.com, but here are three almost real websites, with huge budgets and professional staffs who believe this:
- The bizarre dog whistles in a video Trump tweeted out, explained, by Aaron Rupar, Vox, August 29, 2019
- Trump "accidentally" signals affinity with white nationalists in new campaign logo, by Amanda Marcotte, Salon.com, August 29, 2019
- Trump Retweeted a Video with a Logo Linked to White Nationalism and Fascistic Vigilantes, by Tess Owen, VICE, August 29, 2019
As a result of all this "dog-whistle" nonsense, we decided to actually print some of these flags, and give them to our donors.

As usual, the MSM defamed us as “white supremacist” and “white nationalist” (see our FAQ page: Is VDARE.com “White Nationalist?”), but we also received an outpouring of support on social media including the comment, “if you sell this I will buy it.”

“It should have had a white doe” a supporter said of Trump’s logo. Fixed it for you!
There’s also a report from Canadian broadcaster CTV:
Several Confederacy flags, patches and shirts were seen in photos from the Capitol, along with the red and yellow flag of the old South Vietnam regime and VDARE-like paraphernalia — an American website that is anti-immigration and affiliated with white supremacist, white nationalist and the alt-right — were also seen in footage reviewed by CTV News.ca
These are some of the extremist groups responsible for the violence on Capitol Hill, by Christy Somos, January 8, 2021
I don’t know what CTV means by "VDARE-like paraphernalia." If they mean the Lion Flag, that’s non-VDARE paraphernalia. If they mean the White Doe flag, show me a photograph. If they mean generically orange paraphernalia, then I have to tell them that the color orange is associated with Trump for other reasons.
Anyhow, I repeat: the Dissident Right is an intellectual movement. Our ideas are considered dangerous by MSM Cultural Marxists, but we're actually quite few.
What you saw on the Mall and even in the Capitol was not an intellectual movement — it was the American people.
(We still have some "VDARE flags" left! For details, see here).
