Biden, Calderon, And The Flags

Vice President Biden was in Mexico, arriving on March 4th and making the rounds on March 5th. Biden conferred with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and visited the Basilica of Guadalupe. Since Mexico is also having a presidential election this year, Biden met separately with each of the three major presidential candidates: Enrique Pena Nieto of the PRI, Josefina Vasquez Mota of the PAN, and Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) of the PRD. Here are photos of Biden’s visit.

Here’s my Mexidata column about the candidates: Major Candidates for Mexico’s 2012 Election Now Chosen. Mexico’s election is scheduled for July 1st.
