VDARE.com readers probably know that there will be a referendum in Britain on June 23rd over whether the country should leave the European Union ("Brexit").The London Daily Express has an article about the likelihood of a rigged vote in 16 particular towns and boroughs with a known inclination to that kind of thing.
What do those 16 locations have in common? Hard to figure.
The Electoral Commission has pinpointed 16 local authority areas with large ethnic minority populations which it believes are the most at risk of suffering from widespread fraud. That closing disclaimer is a bit like saying: "It would be a mistake to suggest that only alcoholics get drunk." Which indeed it would. In a report, published in 2014, the body said such neighbourhoods were "often home to communities with a diverse range of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds".
Concerns were also reported "electoral fraud is more likely to be committed by or in support of candidates standing for election in areas which are largely or predominately populated by some South Asian communities, specifically those with roots in parts of Pakistan or Bangladesh".
However, the officials then added: "It would be a mistake to suggest that electoral fraud only takes place within specific South Asian communities." [REVEALED: The areas at risk of VOTE RIGGING ahead of local elections and EU referendum by Nick Gutteridge; Daily Express, May 4th 2016.]
