Scott Walker, trying to look patriotic

Say one thing to the base, another thing to the donors. It’s the way the GOP operates. But it doesn’t work if your comments to the donors get out …

From Breitbart quoting the Wall Street Journal (where they are probably popping the champagne corks).

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told a private dinner of New Hampshire Republicans this month that he backed the idea of allowing undocumented immigrants to stay in the country and to eventually become eligible for citizenship, a position at odds with his previous public statements on the matter.
As Dan Riehl puts it, "Given the history here, it may now be impossible to know precisely where Walker stands, with supporters left to assume the worst — that he’s just another open borders Republican — becoming the default across the conservative grassroots whose support he needs to win" [Scott Walker Endorses Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants at Private GOP Dinner, Breitbart, March 26, 2015].

Well Ted Cruz seize on the opportunity? Well … he has his own problems on the issue.
