Why Obama reaches too far on Health care.

Over the years, The Washington Times’ Stephen Dinan has produced some fine Immigration stories. The latest has unusual support from the WT’s headline writers. Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care Republicans see a backdoor move toward 'amnesty' Friday, September 18, 2009
President Obama said this week that his health care plan won’t cover illegal immigrants, but argued that’s all the more reason to legalize them and ensure they eventually do get coverage.

He also staked out a position that anyone in the country legally should be covered — a major break with the 1996 welfare reform bill, which limited most federal public assistance programs only to citizens and longtime immigrants

The implications of this has recently become Peter Brimelow’s pet peeve.

In his speech on Wednesday evening to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (Thought experiment: "Congressional White Caucus Institute"' … never mind.) Obama clearly said what his audience wanted to hear:

Mr. Obama added, "If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all."
Hispanic lobbyists got the message:
…immigrant rights groups see the speech as a signal that Mr. Obama is committed to providing health care coverage for anyone in the United States legally, regardless of their citizenship status. "It’s the first time I've certainly heard, publicly, him talking more about legal immigrants," said Eric Rodriguez, vice president for research and advocacy at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). "I think that was certainly positive progress…" Our biggest concern is that most people don’t realize legal immigrants are currently barred from receiving health care benefits for the first five years in the country."
VDARE.com emphasis. Eric Rodriguez deserves applause — (e mail him) — for looking after his people

A normal political mind might wonder why on earth the President would want to open this flank at such a stage in the health care battle. Can’t he count?

The answer is probably not. Obama is a clearly a Nacissist:

”a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. They believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people’s feelings.”
In other words the man is mad. But, as Steve Sailer has documented: he looks after his tribe.

The Democrats will lose the House in 2010. The issue for patriots is ensuring the benefitting GOP Leadership is not a cloud of drones.

PS: Since writing this blog I see that once again, Joe Guzzardi is optimistic while I am less cheerful. I hope he is correct. But my view is that Obama is fanatical about his racial agenda, as the Sotomayor nomination showed. In this sense, he is not really a politician.

Congressional Democrats had better fasten their seat belts!
