I don’t know why I haven’t heard about this earlier, but in 2022 the Young Vic Theatre in London (a more politicized alternative to the Old Vic) put on a theatrical production of Best of Enemies, the 2015 documentary about the historic 1968 televised debate between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley, Jr.
In the Young Vic production, Buckley is played by black actor David Harewood.

I have written about the phenomenon of what I call “Replacement Programming” for VDARE before [White Entertainment Television: An Idea Whose Time Has Come, June 8, 2023], which I argue is just another form of Replacement Ideology. However, and maybe it’s just me, there seems something strangely fitting for William F. Buckley to be portrayed by David Harewood.
