A sage once noted that the modern definition of racism is anyone winning an argument with a liberal. By the same token, the Patriot wing of the GOP appears to be winning its war with the Treason Lobby wing: Some Republicans See Racism As a Factor in Immigration Stalemate, by John Stanton, Buzzfeed, com, January 29, 2014; Republicans Admit Racism Is Big Obstacle to Passing Immigration Reform, by Rebecca Leber, readersupportednews.com, February 4, 2014.
Buzzfeed’s Stanton quotes "one Republican lawmaker" — widely believed to be the disgusting Sen. Lindsey Graham (Scalawag-SC):
“Part of it, I think — and I hate to say this, because these are my people — but I hate to say it, but it’s racial,” said the Southern Republican lawmaker, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “If you go to town halls people say things like, ‘These people have different cultural customs than we do.’ And that’s code for race.”
It may be code for race, but that doesn’t mean it’s a codeword for racism a.k.a. prejudice. There’s a difference, as I explained at length in 2009 when the Tea Parties were being subjected to the same knee-jerk smear: Yes, It Is About Race. Quite Right Too.
The bottom line: whites have rights too. If the Left didn’t want whites to become self-conscious, they shouldn’t have flooded their country with immigrant minorities.
"Whites", by the way, is code for "Americans."
