Drudge: "MSM blockade-breaking is why readers come to my site"
Increasingly it looks as if the good Drudge news is real — this immensely popular site (“Visits To Drudge…1,029,617,707 visits Past 31 Days”) seems to have shifted to running informative and provocative Amnesty stories once again.
As I write there are 4 up:
- REPORT: Immigration bill to bring in at least 33 million people …
which links to Immigration bill to bring in at least 33 million people, says group by Neil Munro The Daily Caller 04/26/2013
The pending Senate immigration bill would bring a minimum of 33 million people into the country during its first decade of operation, according to an analysis by NumbersUSA…By 2024, the inflow would include an estimated 9.2 million illegal immigrants, plus 2.5 million illegals who arrived as children — dubbed ‘Dreamers’ — plus roughly 3.4 million company-sponsored employees with university degrees, said the unreleased analysis
- Loopholes create fast-track …
which links to Gang of Eight loopholes put many illegal immigrants on fast track to citizenship Byron York washingtonexaminer.com April 25, 2013
A little-noticed exception in the Gang of Eight bill provides a fast track for many — possibly very many — currently illegal immigrants … .The bottom line is that in both cases, agricultural workers and Dreamers, the Gang of Eight creates significant exceptions to what Rubio claimed would be a long and arduous path to legal residency and then citizenship.
(Bryon York has been doing wonderful work by actually reading this wretched thing.)
- HOLDER: Citizenship for illegals a 'civil right' …
which links to Holder calls Amnesty a ‘Civil Right’ foxnews.com April 26 2013. This quotes Holder-
During a April 24th speech to the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund: The way we treat our friends and neighbors who are undocumented — by creating a mechanism for them to earn citizenship and move out of the shadows — transcends the issue of immigration status. This is a matter of civil and human rights.

“Frankly, the degree of activity by the business community, embodied by the Chamber of Commerce and its members, will have a tremendous amount of influence on whether we succeed or fail … “
This is in pleasant contrast to the general MSM triumphalism about the Bill’s prospects, but also an abrasive reminder this legislation is a Slave Power payoff.
In addition, for 24 hours up to 6-40 PM NY time this evening Drudge carried
- Switzerland shuts door on EU migrants …
which linked to Switzerland shuts the door on EU migrants: A new 'us vs. them' in Europe? By Sara Miller Llana Christian Science Monitor April 25 2013
… the Swiss government on Wednesday announced a new policy to cap residence permits for all of Western Europe. Switzerland … says that it is being overwhelmed by arrivals from across the continent, to the tune of 80,000 people each year.
So it is invoking a “safeguard clause” it negotiated during the 1999 Schengen treaty talk, which it already implemented for eight Central and Eastern European states. Now, as of May 1, residence permits for the citizens of 17 older EU states, from Germany to Spain, will be capped at 53,700 for a year.
This is a tribute to the Drudge Report’s understanding of the immigration issue. Switzerland could be an alternative model for American immigration policy. As I noted in Swiss Prefer Switzerland Swiss the country actually has a larger proportion of foreign-born than America, but almost never gives them citizenship. They have no political influence. A patriotic immigration policy has been forced on the Swiss elite by several referendums, which the Swiss do not allow treasonous anti-democratic Judges to reverse.
A fair supply of appropriate news from the Drudge Report could rank with Rush Limbaugh’s championship as a problem for the Treason Lobby.Generally the MSM shut out of anti-Amnesty commentary continues almost complete. Of One Old Vet’s 51-strong Amnesty news compendium today only 8 are anti-Amnesty and only 2 of those are not in the Conservative blogosphere: Ramesh Ponnuru: The immigration bill has one terrible weakness New Hampshire Union Leader April 25, 2013 which is a carefully limited credential- preserving (but absolutely correct) quibble:
What ought to be drawing more opposition is the proposal to bring hundreds of thousands of "temporary guest workers" to the United States … . So we would have a two-tier labor market. … It seems unfair, though, to ask Americans to compete with workers who will be more willing to put up with bad working conditions because of this artificially precarious situation.
(Ponnuru is, as always, really on the wrong side)
Amy Ridenhour’s essay in the Bradenton Herald Without a secure border, Congress is headed for another disaster, on the other hand, is totally sound and well worth reading-President Obama wants to grant amnesty, including a path to citizenship, without first making the border secure.
In violation of his oath of office, he’s refused to enforce all the immigration laws on the books now. Furthermore, in an apparent scheme to spur more illegal immigration, his administration has been running advertisements in Mexico about food stamp availability here, and Obama’s allies in the Senate blocked a Republican move to end these ads during the sequester.
Applaud Amy Ridenour
Drudge-watching may become a Patriotic tonic once again.
