The Fulford File | Diversity Is Strength! It’s Also…Repression. And “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” (=Amnesty) Means More Of It.

The news that VDARE.com is apparently on the U.S. Army’s list of hate groups has been pointed to us by several readers (thanks!). The story broke last week:

The following is an email written by a lieutenant colonel at Fort Campbell in Kentucky — advising three dozen subordinates to be on the lookout for soldiers who might be members of “domestic hate groups.”

This email was obtained exclusively by Fox News. Names have been redacted.

Subject: Domestic “Hate Groups” (UNCLASSIFIED)

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

Caveats: FOUO

Leaders,

Many events have been taking place across the country — just want to ensure everyone is somewhat educated on some of the groups out there that do not share our Army Values.

When we see behaviors that are inconsistent with Army Values — don’t just walk by — do the right thing and address the concern before it becomes a problem.

We need to make sure that we maintain our standards — starting with reception and integration.

Thanks [The Army’s List of “Domestic Hate Groups”, By Todd Starnes, Fox News, April 10, 2013]

The reference to " reception and integration" is Army talk for explaining to newly arrived soldiers how this particular command does things. The "Caveat" FOUO above means "For Official Use Only", which is not the same as "Classified", but probably means "Please don’t forward this to Fox News." The full text of the email is now available (PDF). Note the names of the addressees.

Fortunately, the Army is (currently) full of regular Americans who don’t appreciate this nonsense.

Someone in the Army forwarded this email to Fox, and the sender has been identified as Army Lt. Col. Jack Rich. [Army Email Labels Christian Ministries as “Domestic Hate Groups”, by Todd Starnes, April 9, 2013]

This particular email includes on its list of hate groups in alphabetical order, starting with "Anti-Gay" groups like the Family Research Council (which as a result of this kind of demonization was actually fired upon by black, gay gunman Floyd Corkins), the American Family Association and others from what the memo calls the "Christian Right." It states, in a direct attack on the religion of the great majority of actual soldiers

Opposition to equal rights for gays and lesbians has been a central theme of Christian Right organizing and fundraising for the past three decades — a period that parallels the fundamentalist movement’s rise to political power.

Google informs me that this is a direct, word-for-word steal from the Southern Poverty Law Center ($PLC)’s Intelligence Files under the heading Anti-Gay.

Of course, until very recently, the Army itself was an "Anti-Gay Group," not just because it recruits more manly men, but because the Uniform Code Of Military Justice banned all gay sex by all members of the Armed Forces at all times. (In Why Lesbians Aren’t Gay, National Review, May 30, 1994, Steve Sailer pointed out that lesbians in Army were more tolerated, de facto. The reason is obvious — the Army needs manly men; these are heterosexual. It also needs manly women — these are lesbians.)

Here’s what Lieutenant-Colonel Rich has to say about anti-immigrant groups:

Anti-immigrant hate groups are the most extreme of the hundreds of nativist and vigilante groups that have proliferated since the late 1990s, when anti-immigration xenophobia began to rise to levels not seen in the United States since the 1920s.

Although many groups criticize high levels of immigration and some (categorized by the Southern Poverty Law Center as "nativist extremist" groups) typically confront or harass individual immigrants and their supporters, anti-immigrant hate groups generally go further by pushing racist propaganda.

Once again, this is a direct steal from the SPLC’s intelligence Files, under "Anti-Immigrant".

Lieutenant Colonel Rich seems to be guilty of serious plagiarism here.

I suppose what the SPLC means by " typically confront or harass individual [illegal] immigrants and their supporters" is to the people who monitor illegals at day labor sites, the occasional counter-protester, and the Minutemen, who went to the border on their own time, with their own money, and their own (legal) guns to do something that the Army itself should be doing.

However, imagine this was genuine confrontation and harassment, the kind of thing that leftist "community organizers" do all the time. Why would it be going "further" to push "racist propaganda"?

If Jared Taylor writes an article for VDARE.com called Joe Biden Wants Still More Hispanics. No American Patriot Can Agree, is that really going “further” than the Minutemen with their AR-15s?

This is how the SPLC thinks, but they’re Cultural Marxist totalitarians. It’s not supposed to be how the Army thinks.

In fact, while at the moment this is just one email from one officer, it’s symptomatic of the new PC culture infecting the Army and America in general.

We’ve seen this earlier with reports that the military is trying to prevent the enlistment of members of “hate groups,” but not the Crips and the Bloods. A CBS News report noted that “Military regulations disqualify members of hate groups from enlisting, but there is no specific ban on members of street gangs.”(Gangs Spreading In The Military, by James M Klatell, February 11, 2009).

In 2007, Allan Wall noted that Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey was setting up a diversity task force because “being at war for six years has kept the Army busy and focused on operations, but he feels that diversity should always be a priority.” [Gen. Casey Announces Creation of Diversity Task Force, J.D. Leipold, Army.mil, December 3, 2007]

Well, actually, winning wars is the priority.

In 2009, the same General Casey said, after the predictable and preventable massacre at Fort Hood by a Muslim Major: “And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”[General Casey: diversity shouldn’t be casualty of Fort Hood, By Tabassum Zakaria, November 8, 2009. Emphasis added.]

We have reported repeatedly that the Army puts internet filters in the computers its soldiers use, both on and off duty:

As with the SPLC-cribbing Lieutenant-Colonel above, the Army has not decided on its own that VDARE.com is a bad influence on the troops — it’s outsourced the decision to the censorware companies that try to block corporate employees from watching porn or gambling at work. These have their own ideas of what is and isn’t PC, usually derived from the SPLC and/or the ADL, and we frequently have to have our lawyers send them letters.

The problem with the Army using censorware is that it prevents soldiers from learning things that may save their lives. It’s not worse if diversity becomes a casualty, it’s worse if you get shot because you weren’t warned not to carry an unloaded pistol in a combat zone.

The Army’s modern commitment to diversity is such that its bases may be further driving Texas into blue state territory — the same thing that Allan Wall wrote about last night.

The Chronicle/Express-News analysis finds that the Democratic gains are closely tied to increases in minority population. Bell County, with its increasingly diverse military population from Fort Hood, saw a 51 percent increase in minority residents since 2000 and an 8 percentage point increase in voting performance by Democrats.

[Demographic tides may turn Texas purple or blue, by Richard Dunham, Houston Chronicle, November 10, 2012. Emphasis added]

So soldiers at Fort Hood will be voting for Obama in greater numbers — I’ll bet Nidal Hassan voted for him! But they won’t be reading VDARE.com — they’ll be attending lectures based on the “Army Values” approved by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Diversity is not strength — it is, among other things, repression. And if the Obama-Rubio Amnesty/ Immigration Surge bill goes through, America will see more of it.
