Re: James Fulford’s blog item Rusty Childress Reports Illegals Imported To Swamp McCain’s TownHall
From: John H. In Arizona
I was at John McCain’s Town Hall and sat behind the DREAMers who occupied the front row in the section I was in. One of the people in that row was an older Hispanic woman. She raised her hand and Senator McCain called on her. I thought: “Here we go. A bleeding heart who wants all these illegal immigrants to be able to stay in the U.S.”
Instead she told Senator McCain we have got to stop all these people from sneaking into the U.S. and breaking our laws.
She then went on to ask the senator how he would feel if someone broke into his house and demanded that they be allowed to stay and be taken care of.
Needless, to say, I was surprised, but was glad to know that not all Hispanics in this country believe in "immigration reform." After the Town Hall, she gave an interview to the local T.V. station and said basically the same thing.
By James Fulford writes: It’s heartwarming to see exceptions to stereotypes, especially when the stereotypes are so extremely negative, but stereotypes are stereotypes for reason. Statistically, most Hispanics
A) Support McCain’s amnesty plans.
B) To his consternation, won’t vote for him.
Both (A) and (B) are expressions of ethnic solidarity against the historic American nation..
