Re: Patrick Cleburne’s blog post L.A. Jews Offer Hispanics Deal: Support Israel, Get Amnesty

That was an excellent breakdown of the Jewish Journal article [The new power of a Latino-Jewish coalition in L.A., March 9, 2011], which was rich in important details, but which needed to be sifted out for its essence — which Patrick Cleburne did.

The "deal" was similar to one that was struck with the black leadership back in 1973, when Arthur Hertzberg, then president of the now virtually defunct American Jewish Congress — thanks to Madoff — met with the now-near-defunct Rep. Charles Rangel in a NY hotel and promised the congressman that the organized Jewish community, AKA the Zionist Lobby, would continue to support the welfare program — if the black leadership would keep quiet about Israel’s ties to apartheid South Africa. Hertzberg proudly described the deal in his memoir, A Jew In America. [pp367-368]

The welfare system, as it was formulated and carried out, turned out to be a disaster for the black community and the black leadership’s covering for Israel in its dealings with its fellow apartheid regime kept the latter going a few extra years without a doubt.

Jeffrey Blankfort is a radio program producer with KPOO in San Francisco, KZYX in Mendocino and KPFT/Pacifica in Houston. Raised in a Jewish, non-Zionist home, he has been arguing with Zionists since 1970. He won a sizable lawsuit against the Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in February 2002 for its spying on him and others.
