Conspiracy Theories

Jon Favreau (the Obama speechwriter, not the Iron Man director) tweets:

conspiracy

It’s almost as if Brett Kavanaugh working for Ken Starr in the 1990s investigating Bill Clinton’s sexual harassment of Paula Jones was in part the result of people seeking revenge on behalf of Clarence Thomas for the silly 1991 sexual harassment hearings that kicked off The Year of the Woman that helped put Bill Clinton, of all folks, in the White House.

It’s almost as if there are two teams, the Democrats and the Republicans, who conspire against each other.

In my experience, big battles in Washington usually *are* "calculated and orchestrated" conspiracies. The welfare battles of the 90s--orchestrated conspiracies. Immigration battles--orchestrated conspiracies. Not that there’s anything wrong with it! It’s rational to conspire. https://t.co/8X5bqKeZhF
