A Texas oilman once lamented that America’s economy was based on "flipping burgers and filing lawsuits."And every once in a while, we see news items that combine both.
Apparently, McDonald’s racially-exclusive "365 Black" campaign was not enough to dissuade Webster Lucas, who is black, from suing for $1.5 million because he got only one napkin. He had a racial complaint, too: the Mexican-heritage manager scared him because he was reminded of a scary Mexican gang-banger who hates black people.
Ignoring for a moment that this reveals Mr. Lucas' own racial generalizing, Hispanic-on-black violence is an issue.
