Drudge: Desperate Times, Desperate Measures

Needs must when the Devil Drives. With Romney’s pitiful failure to mobilize the white vote leaving the election result questionable, the Drudge Report has altered course again and featured PAPER: Two-thirds of jobs go to immigrants during past four years …

Two-thirds of those who have found employment under President Obama are immigrants, both legal and illegal, according to an analysis that suggests immigration has soaked up a large portion of what little job growth there has been over the past three years.

The Center for Immigration Studies is releasing the study Thursday morning…

The CIS press release and link to the report is here.

The story goes on

“It’s extraordinary that most of the employment growth in the last four years has gone to the foreign-born, but what’s even more extraordinary is the issue has not even come up during a presidential election that is so focused on jobs,” said Steven A. Camarota, the center’s research director, who wrote the report…

I believe I have the explanation for this.

Of course the success of immigrants in stealing America’s job growth has been painstakingly documented for us by Ed Rubenstein. We even invented the New American Worker Displacement Index (NVDAWDI) to use better Bureau of Labor statistics in 2011. And Peter Brimelow has long been complaining bitterly at the success the Treason Lobby has had in keeping the immigration dimension out of the unemployment discussion.

So seeing Drudge reverting to dog whistling the issue is not especially pleasing. Romney’s flip-flopping on Immigration and weakness on the Obama Dream Coup d’état were not deemed suitable for Drudge readers.

But Patriots should take heart: that this super-alert student of public sensibilities thinks this flag worth raising proves the issue has vitality.

Our time will come.
