Earlier, Steve Sailer shared an article from the New York Post on Indian immigrants staging fake armed robberies so that the fake victims of the robberies could get victim visas, U-Visas.

The U-visa has been full of fraud from the moment of its inception. An internal audit of the program by DHS’s Inspector General found the program ripe with fraud [Feds Admit ‘U Visa’ Program for Illegal Aliens Is Rife with Fraud, Forgery, by John Binder, Breitbart, January 12, 2022].

But was anything done about it? Of course not.

In order to qualify as a victim of a crime, you are supposed to have a) been a victim of a crime, and b) working with authorities to solve the crime. You are supposed to get a local prosecutor to sign off on your claim of having been a victim, too. Given how many sanctuary cities there are, it’s not hard to find a liberal prosecutor more than willing to sign off on any and all claims of victimhood.

I’ve seen a case where a woman claimed to have been the victim of a home invasion. She had no proof of anyone actually having entered her home and robbed her, only her word. Yet that was enough for a prosecutor to sign off on the case. Nothing was ever done to actually try to solve the alleged crime. With such a low threshold, it’s not surprising that illegal aliens are taking advantage of this bit of stupidity.

In reading up on it, the U-Visa came about because of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act in October 2000, when Bill Clinton was still in office. It’s one of those bills that should be done away with, but probably never will be because it ostensibly helps immigrant victims despite the fact that it really helps visa fraudsters more.

The T-Visa was also part of this Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act. This T-visa was supposed to protect victims of domestic violence. It’s also a joke.

I remember talking to a former CBP Officer who was working indoors when a supposed victim of domestic violence walked in. The “victim” was a Jamaican man about 6’8”. My friend blurted out, “Who the hell victimized you?” The Jamaican laughed, did not respond, but simply showed the CBP Officer his documented claim and T-Visa. My friend said he had to let the guy in because the paperwork was there, but it was clear by the Jamaican’s attitude that he realized it was a scam, a joke.

By the way, before these visas were ever dreamed up, the INS used to parole people into the country if they were victims and willing to testify in court. However, with these new visas, the alleged victims do not even have to ever testify in court. They should be gotten rid of, but I doubt a Republican will have the guts to do it because they’ll be called racist.
