Speaker Boehner: Getting the message?
With characteristic incisiveness, the Drudge Report has put the far more meaningful headline "Amnesty Dead — For Now" on its link to Boehner: House won’t negotiate with Senate on immigration bill By David Sherfinski and Stephen Dinan The Washington Times November 13, 2013. The money quote:
“The idea that we’re going to take up a 1,300-page bill that no one had ever read, which is what the Senate did, is not going to happen in the House. And frankly, I’ll make clear we have no intention of ever going to conference on the Senate bill.”
(VDARE.com emphasis) As absolutely everyone realizes, a Senate/House conference would put the Senate Bill to a vote of the whole House and produce victory for the 2013 Amnesty/Immigration Surge proponents.
Boehner of course is not to be trusted. Before the 2010 election he was even pretending to be interested in closing the Birthright Citizenship loophole, but his Speakership has been a dismal story of systematic sabotage of patriotic causes and servile deference to large donors. He needs to go.
But today it is the Treason Lobby which is outraged by betrayal. And credit for this frankly extraordinary achievement is entirely due to you, our readers and readers of all the other patriotic immigration web sites, who have scorched the GOP Establishment with a firestorm of Grass Roots fury.
Well done!
