By VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow is of course late to file his annual State Of The War On Christmas Message and announce our competition for the most disgraceful attempt to abolish Christmas. (See his 2017 SOTWOC). But I’ve been covering the War On Christmas since I won the Christmas Competition myself in the year 2000. VDARE.com started covering it in 1999, Peter Brimelow and John O’Sullivan covered it in the ’90s for the pre-Purge National Review. We’ve traced this back to ACLU persecutions in the 1980s, the New York City school board in 1957, and as far back as 1906. I’m telling you this in case you read that the Harvard Business Review had said that it was started by Fox News in 2005.

The list below goes from the latest, just today, to the earliest--Christmas Eve 1999: when we featured a story about HUD, headed by Andrew Cuomo, having a celebration of everything but Christmas. Cuomo’s now the Left-wing Democrat governor of New York, and is mentioned as a possible candidate for President, showing that people like him aren’t going away and neither is the War On Christmas.

But neither are we, and neither is Christmas.
